Hello, 2017! Happy New Year!
A new year’s resolution is too far-reaching. Goals? Dreams? Aspirations? Sure, but giving ourselves a whole year to make something happen leaves too much room for… other things. So instead, how about a new day’s resolution? Every single day, we must wake up and remind ourselves what our goal/dream/aspiration is and make something happen that day related specifically to it.
This past year, we talked a bunch about our vision for our family, for our business, for ourselves, but throughout the year we got stuck in a cycle of “just surviving.” Well, a lot of talking came down to one question: what makes you happy? For me, it’s music and cooking. And family, of course. I have the best family and I love them so much, and they make me happy every day. 🙂 But to be the best we can be for our families, we must all be happy as individuals, right? Yes. Yes, absolutely!
Every day, I need to make music. Every day, I need to cook great food for myself and my family. Every day, I need to spend time with my family.
We’ve talked about what makes us happy; we know what we need to do.
So with each new day we will make the resolution anew:
“Today, I Will Do The Things That Make Me Happy.”
What makes you happy?
